The 2005 Maryland State Bodybuilding Fitness and Figure Championships is scheduled for October 29, 2005. Charles Dorsey, my friend and great NPC National level competitor is promoting the 2005 Maryland state.

Below is old information for the 2004 version of the NPC MARYLAND STATE BODYBUILDING FITNESS AND FIGURE CHAMPIONSHIPS. Putting things together that year wasn’t easy and yes, to answer the questions, we were attempting to change the venue to another auditorium and that was the hold up with providing you with current information. Anyway, that didn’t work out like we had hope so GLEN BURNIE HIGH SCHOOL once again hosted our event. I’ve received TONS of positive feedback about the show being later in the year and if that’s what you all want, then that’s what we’ll continue to do!

Gracing the stage that year was a special guest poser, Maryland’s own KEVIN LEVRONE! Kevin asked me to pass the word along to you all that he’s back, he’s bigger, badder and hungrier than he’s been in the past couple of years. Kevin was only 5 weeks away from the Mr. Olympia competition and was in great shape and  brought the house down just like always! Joining Kevin as our special guest was another IFBB Superstar and one of the greatest athletes the sport has ever seen, SHAWN RAY! Shawn hosted the show as our master of ceremonies that year and you all already know how vocal and outspoken Shawn can be!

JOHN PARRILLO was back that year as our special guest head judge and he found his way to the microphone to assist Shawn with his duties at the evening show. That was quite a duo, no doubt about it! J.M. MANION will was on hand as our official photographer and as in years past, was covering the show for the NPC NEWS and FLEX MAGAZINE. It was great to see our show receive this kind of national attention and it’s the best way I know of getting our athletes out there and getting their names and faces recognized around the country. This show has been the route to bigger and better things for many of our Maryland athletes!
